This agreement outlines expectations for families participating in Detail Basketball AAU. Our program prioritizes player development, discipline, teamwork, and a positive competitive environment. The Organization does not prorate fees due to injury, schedule conflicts, playing time, or voluntary withdrawal.Participation in the program indicates agreement to the following:

1. Parent Conduct

• Demonstrate sportsmanship and respect toward coaches, officials, players, and families.

• Allow coaches to coach without sideline instruction or interference.

• Maintain positive behavior at games, practices, tournaments, and online.

• Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from events or program dismissal.

2. Coaching Authority

• Coaches have full authority over playing time, positions, lineups, and strategy.

• AAU basketball is competitive and playing time is not guaranteed.

• Team decisions are made in the best interest of player development and team success.

3. Communication Standard

• Concerns must follow the 24-Hour Rule.

• Discussions will occur respectfully and away from games or practices.

• Parents will not approach coaches immediately following competition.

4. Commitment & Attendance

• Prioritize team practices and tournaments if at all possible.

• Notify coaches in advance of absences - as early as possible.

• Attendance, effort, and attitude affect participation opportunities.

5. Travel & Supervision

• Parents/guardians are responsible for transportation and travel expenses unless stated otherwise.

• The Organization is responsible only during scheduled team activities.

6. Financial Agreement

• Program fees must be paid by established deadlines. Failure to pay by deadlines may result in removal from the Organization.

• Communication regarding hardship must occur before payment deadlines.

7. Program Culture

• Collective Accountability

• Work ethic

• Respect

• Team-first mentality

• Integrity

• Trust

• Families agree to support these standards.

8. Enforcement

• Verbal or written warnings

• Spectator removal

• Player suspension or dismissal when behavior conflicts with program standards.

Roster Commitment & Withdrawal Policy

By accepting a roster position, families acknowledge that the Organization commits financial resources in advance, including tournament registrations, league fees, uniforms, facility costs, and administrative expenses.

• A player’s roster position represents a season long commitment.

• Program fees become non-refundable once a player accepts a roster spot and team registrations or uniform orders have been completed.

• Withdrawal from the program does not eliminate outstanding financial obligations already committed on behalf of the athlete.

• The Organization reserves the right to collect remaining balances for committed seasonal expenses.
