This agreement outlines the expectations for athletes participating in Detail Basketball AAU.Being selected to a Detail Basketball team is a privilege that requires commitment, effort, and respect for the game and teammates.

Roster placement may be reevaluated if team standards, effort, or conduct expectations are not maintained.

1. Player Expectations

As a member of Detail Basketball AAU, I agree to:

• Show respect to coaches, teammates, opponents, officials, and spectators at all times.

• Arrive on time and prepared for all practices, games, and team activities.

• Give maximum effort, listen to coaching instructions and understand them, and work to improve daily.

• Maintain a positive attitude and consistently support teammates and team success.

• Stay focused during team activities and represent the program with pride.

2. Commitment & Attendance

I understand that team success depends on commitment.

I agree to:

• Attend scheduled practices, games, and team events.

• Notify my coach in advance if I will be late or absent.

• Understand that attendance, effort, attitude, and preparation impact playing time and team role.

3. Team Conduct & Discipline

I will:

• Demonstrate sportsmanship at all times.

• Accept coaching and game decisions respectfully.

• Avoid arguing with referees, opponents, or coaches.

• Refrain from fighting, bullying, or disrespectful behavior.

Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in reduced playing time, suspension, or dismissal from the program.

4. Social Media Responsibility

I understand that I represent Detail Basketball AAU both on and off the court.

I agree to:

• Use social media responsibly.

• Avoid posting negative or inappropriate content involving teammates, coaches, opponents, or the organization.

• Online behavior may result in team disciplinary action.

5. Academic Responsibility

Student-athletes are students first.

I agree to:

• Maintain effort and responsibility in school.

• Communicate with coaches if academic responsibilities affect my schedule.

• Represent the program positively in school and community settings.

6. Equipment & Uniform Responsibility

• I will properly care for all team-issued uniforms and equipment.

• Lost or damaged items may require replacement at players expense.

7. Health & Injury Reporting

• I will immediately report injuries or health concerns to my coach or parents.

• I will follow medical guidance before returning to participation.

Player safety always comes first.

8. Media & Photo Release

Detail Basketball AAU may use photos or video taken during practices, games, or events for program promotion, website content, social media, or marketing materials.

9. Code of Character

As a Detail Basketball athlete, I commit to:

• Compete with effort and humility

• Support teammates and encourage others

• Accept challenges and coaching

• Display leadership and accountability

• Respect the game at all times

• Failure to uphold team standards may result in disciplinary action.

11. Liability Waiver & Emergency Authorization

I understand participation in athletic activities carries risk of injury.

The undersigned parent/guardian releases and holds harmless Detail Basketball AAU, its coaches, staff, volunteers, and affiliates from liability arising from participation in team activities.

In the event of an emergency, I authorize program representatives to obtain medical treatment if a parent/guardian cannot be reached.

Acknowledgment

I understand that being part of Detail Basketball AAU is a privilege. My actions represent myself, my family, and our organization.
